Petrex is a Sydney studio that builds brand experiences inside games: branded worlds, activations, 3D characters, avatar items and game assets. It works with brands, agencies and game studios. All of its current work ships on Roblox, and it also builds for Fortnite, VRChat, Meta Horizon Worlds, Zepeto and FiveM.

On Roblox, Petrex has made 3D characters and avatar items for Strawberry Shortcake’s Roblox collaborations with Basket Entertainment, including Cake Off; the in-game visual assets for the Chained integration of Universal Pictures’ campaign for Jurassic World Rebirth; environment art, character art and 3D packshots for BANGERS! chips; and character art for the Ninjombie warriors. Clients include NBCUniversal, Basket Entertainment and Samsung Galaxy Store.

Peter Starodubtsev founded Petrex in 2024. Roblox’s 2025 Australia Economic Impact Report features him in a creator spotlight, and Australian coverage of OpenAI’s Sydney Founder Day in August 2026 named him and Petrex.
